Weather and the Council Annual Meeting and Volunteer Recognition Event
As many of you are aware, we are expecting winter weather in some areas of our council jurisdiction. The Annual Meeting/Adult Recognition Ceremony scheduled for Saturday, March 23rd in Cape Girardeau will take place as scheduled. However, if you feel you cannot travel safely due to weather, the Annual Meeting portion only (not the recognitions ceremony) is scheduled to be available via conference call at our Joplin, Jefferson City and Springfield service centers. We will have extra annual meeting packets available. Registration at the conference call locations will open at 9:00 and the meeting will start at 10:00. The shop will be available from 9:00 – 10:00 and 11:30 – 12:30. We hope you’ll join us at one of these locations if you can’t make it to Cape Girardeau.
Contact Missy Cravens at 877-312-4764 ext. 1124 if you have any questions.

Strategic Learning Information
Built on a strong foundation, Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland is a unified organization focused on providing progressive leadership experiences that prepare girls for a lifetime of limitless opportunities.
Faced with a decline in membership, economic pressures, and challenged delivery of service methods, Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland completed a rigorous six-month process to identify strategies that will strengthen our commitment to girls.
Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland's top priority is to offer girls access to the best leadership opportunities available. By collaborating with parents, volunteers, staff members and community partners, we will be in the ideal position of delivering high quality leadership experiences in the ways girls want and are able to participate.
Our Girl Scout story is as unique and compelling as the girls who star in it. By telling that story, we will actively pursue financial resources that allow Missouri Heartland to create greater value for the girls we serve today and tomorrow.
As we aim toward the future, we aim higher. With our sights set forward and our resources focused, Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland is prepared for the greatest challenge of all - to help every girl meet HER challenge – her challenge to be the leader that she wants to be.
Her future starts now! And you can be a part of it!
