Go to Camp

Does your daughter have a love of the outdoors? Does she like to hike? Canoe? Go horseback riding? Does she enjoy challenging herself? If so, then Girl Scout camp is the perfect pathway for her!

Girl Scout camp is a safe, fun, and affordable option for summer. Camp provides a unique opportunity for girls to enjoy the outdoors day and night, bunk with other girls, and make new friends. Girls will get plenty of exercise hiking to and from sleeping units and activities. Days at camp are busy from sun up to sundown; however, there is “rest time” every day for girls to read, write letters home, or catch up on some ZZZsSummer camp is over for this year, but check back soon for the 2015 Summer Camp Guide.

Each of our program centers offers a variety of sessions for all ages. Sessions range from one day up to two weeks. Many sessions have a theme that will be the focus of the girls’ activities, but everyone will have the opportunity to participate in traditional camp activities like campfires, swimming, and games.

Resident camp is offered at four program centers:
Cherokee Ridge Program Center, Wayne County, MO
Finbrooke Program Center, Christian County, MO
Latonka Program Center, Wayne County, MO
Mintahama Program Center, Newton County, MO

We want to help you make sure you and your daughter are ready for a summer camp adventure, it’s a big decision! Check out our Summer Camp page to help you decide if resident camp is a good fit for you and your daughter.

If your daughter isn’t quite ready for resident camp, she can still participate as a Girl Scout through the camp pathway by attending local service unit day camps. Many areas of our council offer day or evening camps during the summer months that run 3-5 days for a few hours each day.
