Does your daughter have a love of the outdoors? Does she like to hike? Canoe? Go horseback riding? Does she enjoy challenging herself? If so, then Girl Scout camp is the perfect pathway for her!
Girl Scout camp is a safe, fun and affordable option for summer. Camp provides a unique opportunity for girls to enjoy the outdoors day and night, bunk with other girls, and make new friends. Girls will get plenty of exercise hiking to and from sleeping units and activities. Days at camp are busy from sun up to sundown; however, there is “rest time” every day for girls to read, write letters home, or catch up on some ZZZs! The 2014 Summer Camp Guide has a complete description of sessions offered, FAQs, and the summer camp registration form. Summer Camp registrations will be accepted beginning February 1, 2014.
Each of our program centers offers a variety of sessions for all ages. Sessions range from one day up to two weeks. Many sessions have a theme that will be the focus of the girls’ activities, but everyone will have the opportunity to participate in traditional camp activities like campfires, swimming, and games.
Resident camp is offered at four program centers:
It’s a big decision to send your daughter away for camp and we want to help you make sure you and your daughter are ready for a summer camp adventure. What's it like at Camp? will help you decide if resident camp is a good fit for you and your daughter.
If your daughter isn’t quite ready for resident camp, she can still participate as a Girl Scout through the camp pathway by attending local service unit day camps. Many areas of our council offer day or evening camps during the summer months that run 3-5 days for a few hours each day.
